Mending
& the freedom to
plan a little bit
The
Transplant Went Well!
and Gerry seems on the mend,
thank heaven...
We're so grateful to all of you for the kind thoughts, good wishes,
prayers, gifts & help with the non-medical range of expenses.
This has certainly been a - well - an experience.
For the past few months I've been journaling about Gerry's illness and
recovery along with my design, writing & teaching life at
www.modeknit.com/blog. If you're interested, you can get a
clearer picture there about our adventure.
So - for all intents and purposes - I'll be teaching as expected at my
upcoming engagements, and I feel confident to make more dates for the
Spring.

I haven't been doing much lately besides worrying, teaching and trying
to keep the family on an even keel. No new books on the
horizon,
no new patterns coming out - I'm thinking of it as a temporary, partial
hiatus until life is back into a manageable state. Stay
tuned,
one day I may wake up with boatloads of energy and come out with
several patterns or a new book.
But for the time being, I'm happy to be teaching and meeting so many
wonderful knitters. This is truly the best part of my 'job!'
I hope if you're in one of the cities where I'll be teaching in the
next few months you'll stop by to say, "Hi!" Connecting with
others who share our passions is truly a gift!

I V E !!
France was tremendous! The Chez French Girl tours - both
weeks of
them - were full of passionate and excited knitters.
We had a magnificent time, ate our way across Languedoc and learned
quite a few knitting tricks along the way!
It was a rough time to be away, but I wouldn't have missed it for the
world! Kris & Phil showed all of us a wonderful time,
and
shared their passion for the wonderful French folk & food quite
liberally with all of us. Vive
la France!
I put together a photo gallery of the weeks of the trip here, in case
you're interested!
