Folks, I know it's short notice on these first two items, but I've been remiss in not getting my newsletter out as early as I'd like! PURLJAM I'll be teaching at this wonderful weekend event in Blacksburg, VA along with Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton and Jared Flood - and I can't WAIT! I've heard amazing things about the shop, the clientele, Purljam, and the beauty of this area. I'm already in love with Virginia (family roots and all that...) so coming 'home' is always a pleasure! |

| July - Nautical Yarn In July I get to travel across Lake Michigan on a Ferry to teach in Ludington at Nautical Yarns! Arriving late at a class at TNNA I slipped into the only open seat and found myself next to one of the kind folks from Nautical Yarns - ironic and very nice! I'm so looking forward to this engagement (and the ferry ride...) because I love teaching in Michigan! In August I'll be taking time off, but I'm back for some busy teaching in September! |

- Portland AGAIN! How excited am I to be returning to Portland!!?? I had the BEST time there this Spring, so I'll be returning to the scene of the crime in September. I'll be teaching at TKGA, and will have a few other dates lined up while I'm in town. If you're interested in the TKGA classes I'd sign up quickly as I've heard they could be selling out sooner than expected! I know I'll be at Unraveled in Vancouver, WA and I hope to be back at Knit, Purl (and maybe more places!) I know that I'll have at least one Rogue Nut Brown Ale while I'm in town, though... |

I'll be teaching in Minnesota in October and November

Fall seems like a long way off, but it's not too early to make plans for a chance to get away and skip some stones on a lovely lake between knitting projects! I'll be teaching at two knitting retreats to be held at the Medayto Rose Cottage in Spicer, MN on Oct 17-19 and Nov 14-16. OCT: Lace & Cable Basics In October I'll be teaching some cable tricks, lace tricks (including the Gigi scarf from Romantic Hand Knits) and a crash course in Combination Knitting that will allow you to see your stitches in a whole new way - no matter HOW you knit! NOV: Modular Knitting In November the retreat will be dedicated to Modular / Mitered knitting, and we'll use the Universal Mitered Handbag pattern as a vehicle to learn many tips and tricks to make Mitered Knitting (or Domino Knitting, as Vivian Høxbro calls it) more enjoyable for anyone, no matter what your skill level.
