Missed it by THAT much!
SO this is what I get for going on a cruise, huh?
| When Last I Wrote I was just about to leave for my first cruise, where I was to be co-teaching with Drew Emborsky on the Holland America ship Ms. Westerdam for Craft Cruises. All was going well - it was a most wonderful cruise - until I caught what appeared to be the worst cold in the history of human kind. I had to cancel one of my days of classes (Drew was kind enough to invite my students into his classes and they had a wonderful time!) and spent most of the trip in my room having my meals brought to me so I wouldn't infect anyone else. And, before you ask, no - it wasn't Swine Flu. I had myself checked back home in MN, and I'm dandy - just a bad, bad cold. But, colds being what they are and my lungs being what they are (filled with massive scar tissue from severe asthma and repeated trips through Bronchitis-land) this cold settled in and I found myself unable to breath, move, sleep - well, I've already moved into the sphere of too much information, so I'll just stop here. This is my roundabout way of explaining why I didn't get my April newsletter out in April, and now we've moved on to May and it's time for a fresh start. Me and the crocii. I would LOVE to meet you! I've limited my engagements in my upcoming OH / PA / NH / Canada trip, and I'm not sure when I'll be doing another road trip like this, so if you miss out you only have yourself to blame! Across The Pond In August I fly to the UK for 5 teaching engagements all over Scotland, Wales and England. I'm incredibly excited about this - I'll be taking Gerry with me for the first week, then he returns home to be Mr. Mom while I continue for another week of teaching.
