The 5th Season - More Winter
Or as we in Minnesota like to
call it, Pre-Spring

History on Two Needles
Or, HoTN, as I've taken to call it, is full speed ahead! I've
started a few different projects, I've got one assigned to a knitter
and I'm having a blast.
I don't have a firm deadline set for this, I'm one of those odd folks
who seems to work more quickly and efficiently when I'm not tied to a
calendar. Let's
just say I'm hoping the lion's share of the work will be complete by
Fall 2009, but I'm not making any guarantees!
I'd like to keep the process as transparent as possible, so I'm writing
about each step at my blog, www.modeknit.com, where you can follow the
progress and see what's working out (and what might not be...)
New Designs
My Arbroath Abbey was featured in the British knit-zine, Yarn Forward.
I hadn't been familiar with this magazine, but it's a
wonderful resource - I was quite impressed with the photography,
layout, and all around quality of patterns and articles. If
you haven't seen it yet, it's worth a look! Shannon's doing an amazing job, I'm proud to be part of this issue!
MORE Teaching
I'm filling up my calendar with
more teaching than I've done in
years. I'm think I'm in a better place now - the
family is in a better place - for me to be gone for weeks at a time.
A handy table of my teaching dates is below, but for a change
of pace I've set up a lovely Google agenda of all my teaching dates
which you
can access by clicking here. You can change the view to Agenda for a list of my classes, I think it's a bit easier to read than the calendar grid.

And Finally - FEAR!
I'm filled with trepidation as I write this. Tomorrow afternoon I
take my first skiing lesson. Downhill. And I am more
nervous than I thought I'd be. At least we'll have Atticus to
come and find me (and the kids can both ski now)
This is what I get for not being able to turn down a bargain - March lessons are half price. Well, 47 is probably a good age to learn to ski, right?
