Tips & Tricks

For years folks asked me to teach a class like this, so I've put one together! I'll offer tips to help you cast on, weave in ends, create really cool knitting effects (embelishments) and SO many other things!

Each time I teach this class it's different because each group has their own list of what they'd like to learn! Make your own list and come to class, I always end the classes by taking a few 'requests'...

Lace Scarf Boot Camp

Are you scared of charts? Go on, be honest - do you cringe when you see one staring you in the face? In this class you'll get a NEW introduction to chart reading which will allow you to perfect your chart reading skills. We'll also cover a few ways to begin to memorize those elusive lace repeats, to make lace knitting more fun!

Why charts? Written instructions can have typos, but with a chart what you see is what you get, which is why it’s the best option for knitters who want to “see” what their lace will look like before they take up their needles.

In this class we will knit a few simple lace panels, the start of my Wavy Lace Scarf pattern from Romantic Hand Knits (you'll get a copy of the pattern, charted AND written out!)

This class could change your entire knitting outlook!
