Poppy Lace Crochet Jacket $7.00 US

This is a UNIVERSAL pattern, which means you can use any yarn to create this in any size. Formed from a large circle with sleeves inserted later, the Poppy Lace Crochet Cocoon can be worn in two ways;  As a jacket with a shorter collar, or flip it upside down and it becomes a shrug with a wide shawl collar.

Gauge Any gauge, any yarn is fine.

Sizing This pattern is not sized, it is meant to be worked to YOUR individual size based on two simple measurements.

The Math Yes, you have to do a very small amount of math in this pattern.  By doing a bit of math, you will be able to tailor this pattern to fit ANY size body using ANY weight yarn!

Necessary Measurements – You will need TWO numbers to create your shrug:

A = Your Cross Front Measurement less 2” This is taken across the front, roughly from bra strap to bra strap, and generally runs between 12-16” / 30-40 cm.

B = Your Fingertip to Fingertip Measurement divided by 1.75.  It is taken with arms extended and is generally around the person’s height.

In any pattern figuring yardages is a bit of a crap shoot.  Since this pattern is individually sized, yardages may differ.  Yardages are based on S (M, L, XL) sizing, for fingering wt yarn, extrapolate up or down based on your size. In general you’ll need 1 part each Yellow & Pink, 2 parts Green and 3 parts Red.
