New Directions in Color

Colorwork is a wonderful thing, and so satisfying for a knitter!

Don’t be afraid, be bold and confident as you take up your needles – enjoy the full range of colored yarns that are all around you.

In this class we will learn how to “read” a colorwork chart and learn the basics of changing colors in a row while knitting. We will also discuss the differences between fair isle and intarsia, and compare different methods of carrying yarn across the back of the work.

Come prepared to knit!

Students should bring at least 4 colors of smooth, worsted weight yarn and needles that work well with their chosen yarn, including a set of circular needles.
